Tatra التشيكية تبدع من جديد باحدث شاحنات عسكرية من احدث جيل 8×8 PRAM Photos: Retraining exercise for Tatra 815 8×8 PRAM trucks drivers Military truck drivers from the 71st Mechanised Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, based at Hranice, are at present undergoing a retraining exercise on the operation of the Tatra 815 8×8 PRAM trucks. The trucks, which will replace the older Praga V3S vehicles, were delivered to the unit at the end of 2017. The new trucks are especially designed to transport the PRAM L mortars 120 mm (M M1982). “The aim of this exercise is to ensure that the drivers are competent not only in how to manoeuvre the new vehicles in various types of terrain, but also capable of carrying out basic maintenance and repairs. The drivers must prove that they can safely operate the vehicle under very specific driving conditions,” explained Master Sergeant Jiri Pospisil, the training coordinator. This year, one mortar platoon from the 71st Mechanised Battalion will be participating in NATO´s “enhanced Forward Presence” (eFP) in Latvia and Poland.   2. Czech Army receives new T-815 heavy trucks for replacing Praha V3S The Army of the Czech Republic on November received a batch of 12 Tatra T-815 8×8 PRAM heavy trucks with armoured double cab. The new Tatra T-815 heavy trucks vehicles are equipped with full ballistic protection and mine/improvised explosive device blast-resistant forward crew compartments. 71th Mechanized Battalion is the first unit of the Czech Army, which took over 12 new Tatra-815 8×8 PRAMs for replaced Praha V3S trucks. The Tatra Trucks T-815 8×8 heavy truck platforms will serve as transporters for 81 mm mortar crews, their weapons, ammunition, and other equipment. Praha V3S truck The new truck is a member of the TATRA FORCE family, heavy-duty vehicles designed for rough terrain, difficult climatic and environment conditions. The 8×8 all-wheel drive chassis employs independent suspension and backbone tube frame, unique characteristics of the TATRA-concept chassis proven for more than 90 years. It allows each wheel to move independently, with improved steering, and maximum tire-to-ground contact, while featuring extreme resistance of the chassis against torsion and bending. This is provided by a solid 3D frame which also protects all driveline components against impacts, dust, and humidity. Low maintenance costs and service-free design. Armoured double cabin (4 doors) COE type tiltable with up to 5 attenuating seats, complies with ballistic and antimine protection per STANAG 4569.
  3. May 4, 2016 Tatra Trucks has signed an agreement with Jordan and Egypt to supply truck chassis. Czech Tatra said that Jordan has imported 50 chassis on which local company KADDB (King Abdullah Design and Development Burea) builds its own military vehicle. This is a second batch after an initial 80 were exported. Egypt has signed an agreement with Tatra Trucks to supply 130 truck chassis and is in discussions to supply another 220. This is according to Petr Rusek, chairman of the board of Tatra Trucks, who said that the Czech company had signed contracts worth CZK800 million ($33 million) with both Egypt and Jordan to supply specialised chassis. Tatra makes heavy-duty, all-wheel-drive, off-road trucks and chassis-cabs. Tatra’s products range from 5-ton payload 4x4s up to 39-ton payload 12x12s. Tatra also manufactures a line of air-cooled diesel engines, transmissions and portal axles. In the future this advanced range should replace the older TATRA vehicles with 4×4 up to 12×12 configurations. However, since 2012, following allegation of corruption charges against its previous Indian stakeholder, deliveries were stopped. The acquisition of TATRA Company in 2013, by Czech shareholders, enabled TATRA to return to India in 2015, with the establishment of distribution agreement with BEML, which will provide the completion services under agreement with the Indian Armed Forces. Last year delivered 100 vehicles to India, mostly in the form of complete knocked down (CKD) sets; the company expects to deliver at least 250 vehicles in 2016, in different states of readiness for the final assembly. After-sales and support for the regional fleets will be provided by its TATRA India subsidiary. The TATRA FORCE are commonly built for customers outside Europe. They are characterized by a liquid-cooled engine from a foreign producer mounted together with the Twin Discautomatic transmission which is incorporated into the central load-carrying tube. Vehicles have all-wheel drive; a torque distributor is integrated in the transmission. Axles are fitted with two hub reduction gears in two types available. Vehicles can be equipped with a tire inflation system. The FORCE range is available from 6×6, 8×8 through 10×10 versions up to an absolutely unique 12×12 version. These last two versions have steerable wheels on the two final axles. The drive to these wheels can be disengaged. Deutz, Cummins andCaterpillarliquid-cooled engines are available.
